Supreme and partnerships go hand in hand, but when it debuted a friends-and-family-only Rolex Submariner for Spring/Summer 2013, we had no idea how much it would shake the streetwear and horological worlds. Justin Reed has just posted one example for sale.
The 40mm Submariner, known for its “Fuck Em” branding, is made of stainless steel with a black bezel and dial, as well as Supreme’s box emblem engraved on the back of the case and Rolex’s title on the clasp. Aside from the red block caps obscenities, the untrained eye would be hard pressed to discern the difference between this highly prized rarity and a conventional Submariner, since Rolex’s trademark marking and dial elements remain untouched.
There are only a few of these watches left in existence because they were only available to individuals close to the Supreme family. If you’re prepared to pay $100,000 USD, you can now purchase this used sample from Justin Reed’s website. A non-Supreme Submariner from 2013 would cost you little more than $15,000 USD.
