Six new in-app mini-games have been tested by TikTok. The project seems to be a component of a bigger gaming pilot that started a few weeks ago.
According to a TechCrunch report, game developers like Vodoo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Aim Lab, and Lotem have been collaborating with TikTok on the pilot.
The mini-games might be discovered by TikTok creators while they are uploading a video to the platform. Along with the list where users can add a hashtag, tag a location, or write a video description, there is an option to link a video to a mini-game.
“We’re always looking at ways to enrich our platform and regularly test new features and integrations that bring value to our community,” a TikTok spokesperson told TechCrunch. “Currently, we’re exploring bringing HTML5 games to TikTok through integrations with third-party game developers and studios.”
When a creator publishes content that includes a link to one of TikTok’s games, the link appears as a floating anchor above their username.
Basketball FRVR, Space Destroyer, and Mr. Aim Lab’s Nightmare are among the games available.
