A unique work of art by the late visionary artist and designer Virgil Abloh will lead Sotheby’s forthcoming “The Now” Evening Auction.
The desk being auctioned is from Virgil Abloh’s “EFFLORESCENCE” series, which was first introduced at Galerie Kreo in Paris in 2019. It is projected to fetch between $120,000 and $180,000 USD. The Virgil Abloh Foundation, which was recently founded to maintain Abloh’s ideology of creating pathways for greater justice and inclusion across luxury, streetwear, and beyond, will profit from the proceeds of the auction.
The Now Evening Auction will commence in New York on May 18 at 6pm ET.
