The first official trailer for Netflix‘s upcoming comedy You People, starring Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, Lauren London, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and others, has been released.
The film, written by Jonah Hill and Kenya Barris, follows Ezra Cohen (Hill) and Amira Mohammed (London), who fall in love after meeting through a ridesharing mix-up. Their love and loyalty to each other are put to the test as they prepare to marry, as their separate families persistently strive to inject themselves into their relationship.
The comedy, which stars Nia Long, David Duchovny, Mike Epps, Molly Gordon, Sam Jay, Andrew Schulz, Deon Cole, and Rhea Perlman, will be released on Netflix on January 27.
“These collaborators are masters at their craft,” London said in a statement following the teaser trailer debut back in December. “You have Eddie Murphy and Julia and Nia Long and David Duchovny and Jonah Hill — and Kenya as the captain of the ship. Everyone brought in their specialness and their art.”
