Anderson .Paak has unveiled a new video for his first-ever branded drum kit. The Silk Sonic artist’s limited-edition Pee .Wee Signature Drum Collection features his first-ever signature snare drum paired with a plush drum mat, created in collaboration with the legendary drum brand Ludwig.
The kit is intended to be the drummer’s all-purpose tool. Ludwig’s Classic Maple series 7-ply shell is patterned with a paisley pattern and cut with a 45-degree bearing edge to move the apex closer to the center of the drum.
The shell is outfitted with brass-plated die-cast hoops, tube lugs, a throw-off and butt plate, a beautiful Ludwig Keystone badge, and a commemorative badge.
“I can’t believe it’s really happening! Before I wanted anything, I wanted my own signature snare drum,” .Paak said. “The snare drum is something really custom and unique to your sound. Even if you just have the kick and the snare and high hat – the way you tune your stuff, sometimes, you don’t need all the chops; sometimes it’s just about the sound.”
Each drum kit is autographed by.Paak himself, and there are only 500 copies of the exclusive kits made, with a 5 by 14-inch (127 by 356-mm) model priced at $799 USD and a 6.5 by 14-inch (165 by 356-mm) variant priced at $849 USD. There are only 250 of the non-slip rubber-backed rugs available for $149 USD.

You also have 100% maple [wood], so you already know what that’s about, sweet syrup!” .Paak described. “It’s screaming for you to smack it like crazy, and even if you can’t play, you’re gonna look good, and you can figure out the rest later.”
