Cardi B has shifted her focus back to music, releasing the single and video for “Up” this Friday, after appearing in a Super Bowl commercial and having fun on social media with her silhouette challenge.

The video for “Up” is a massive production, featuring dancing, multiple wardrobe changes, and loads of CGI, similar to her viral music video for “WAP” last year.
The video has already received 2.5 million views in its first nine hours, indicating that Cardi’s hard work is paying off.

Cardi B stands in a graveyard in an intricate black corset bodysuit, turning away from the camera, in the video for “Up.”
Before landing on a headstone that reads, “RIP 2020,” the image pans to see her notorious “Offset” tattoo.

Cardi then explodes into a ferocious performance of her new single, quickly jumping between scenes of her and many other women performing some great dance to her standing on the bonnet of the car, looking like an ornament on a luxury automobile.
The rapper is even seen wearing a wig with talking Barbie doll heads at one point.

The music video for “WAP” helped confirm the tune as a bona fide success last summer, so only time will tell if the video treatment for “Up” follows similar.
Cardi B’s follow-up to Invasion of Privacy could arrive sooner than we think if it follows the success of her last hit.
