Little Simz is one of just five artists to win the award after being nominated a second time, including Dave, alt-J, James Blake, The xx, and Suede; she was previously nominated in 2019 for Grey Area, when Dave’s Pyschodrama won.

Sometimes I Might Be Introvert debuted at No. 4 on the UK Albums chart in September 2021, featuring guest appearances from Obongjayar and Cleo Sol. The excellent 19-track album was also nominated for British Album of the Year at the BRIT Awards and took home the Libera Award for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Record.
