Burberry & Pop Trading Company Team Up on a Free Spirit Skate Capsule

Burberry has teamed up with Amsterdam-based label Pop Trading Company for a capsule collection inspired by global skate communities, following the launch of its sharp Fall/Winter 2022 collection in March.

The collection foregoes signature tones of beige and birch brown in favor of a grey, black, and red palette, paying homage to dark cityscapes in Japan, where skating is prohibited during the day and comes alive at night.

The collection encapsulates the imprints’ twin penchants for sartorial exploration, with relaxed silhouettes and liberated proportions.

Burberry’s codes see a new blurred Check appear on technical parkas, zipped jackets, silk shirts, cotton cargo trousers, and a slew of accessories in an exclusive colorway. Reflective Check can be found on classic car coats, and a grey melange cardigan has an enlarged Icon stripe jacquard-woven into it.

Meanwhile, dual-branding motifs adorn oversized T-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, and a blanket, some of which include the exact coordinates for both brands’ headquarters, while others offer a more playful remix with animated lettering. The collaboration’s footwear includes deep maroon leather loafers with a metal logo medallion.

Beginning June 15, the collection will be available in select Burberry stores, on Burberry’s website, and on Pop Trading Company’s website.
