Canada Goose collaborates with rising fashion visionary Angel Chen on a limited edition collection that offers convertible outerwear options, giving functional coats a playful and innovative makeover.

Chen, who is known for fusing opposites in her work, such as eastern and western cultures, delicate and hard aesthetics, formal and informal garments, draws inspiration from the changing seasons in the opposing urban and outdoor Canadian landscapes in this collection. The Chinese designer modifies iconic Canada Goose lifestyle jackets with new A-line cuts and bold colors for the Fall/Winter 2021 capsule collection, making them appropriate for moving between the two environments while maintaining a polished and stylish look.

The brand introduces new styles such as the Farra Jacket, Ryla Vest, and Bayan puffer to supplement all outerwear needs during the transitioning seasons, keeping adaptability consistent throughout the collection. The Ryla puffer-style vest for women has a zip hood that can be easily converted to a collar, while the men’s Bayan Puffer and Vest takes on a more stylish transformation with its reversible color options. Canada Goose constructs the puffers with a recycled feather-light ripstop fabric and a water-repellent layer for extended durability, as part of its ongoing effort to produce sustainable garments.

The starring Alxa coat from the campaign is included in the line as a great transitional piece. Its A-line cut perfectly hides a long layer of insulation that is cinched in with a removable belt. Chen also includes interior backstraps, a removable hood, and additional venting for added comfort as the weather changes. The all-encompassing Snow Mantra jacket is at the forefront of the winter styles, with a limited edition menswear iteration in a bold splash of primary blue and a more everyday Tidal Green cropped version for women.

Chen incorporates Snow Mantra inspired embroidery in other models throughout the collection, referencing the jacket’s multi-functional qualities and oversized elements.

Other pieces in the collection include the new Huli Bomber, Mordaga jacket and hoodies in both lines that can be layered and interchanged with other jackets, as well as a selection of accessories that also boast their own convertible features.
