Casablanca’s FW24 Stuns Paris Fashion Week

Casablanca has gracefully sidestepped its past controversies – you know, the real horses and questionable speeches – and found its equilibrium. Back at Paris Fashion Week, Charaf Tajer‘s brainchild has ditched the drama and returned with a fresh take on Ancient Greece, meandering through the impactful eras that define its eclectic identity.

The Fall/Winter 2024 collection, parading down a blue-carpeted runway, dives into the intricacies of human nature with a nod to Björk’s “Venus as a Boy.” The selection draws inspiration from the dynamic impact of Venus on the forgotten Greek city of Eleusis, where luminaries like Plato, Aristotle, and Herodotus once roamed. FW24 takes a leap into the unknown, infusing the collection with psychedelic allure and ultra-modern seduction.

The runway spectacle kicks off with synchronized dancers, their movements coordinating like a well-choreographed dance. The collection unfolds under majestic lighting, interpreting “Venus as a Boy” through a vibrant kaleidoscope. Tugged silhouettes make a statement with skin-tight gowns and elusive, waist-pulled suits. Meanwhile, Casablanca’s sophisticated sportswear stands tall, gracing the runway in structured tracksuits and sheer tennis gear.

Heavenly gradients transition from blue to green on robust-shouldered coats, accompanied by models nonchalantly carrying prehistoric urns. Marbled motifs and airborne angels weave their way into mock neck tops and collaborative Jeff Hamilton varsity jackets. Long-haired outerwear, metallic puffers, and half-moon hardware reimagine classic Casablanca staples for a future that’s as ambitious as it is chic.
