From a pool of 30 exceptional finalists, Inazaki’s work captured the jury’s attention through an intricate fusion of minuscule forms that converge upon a crystallized surface. The result? A breathtaking, almost otherworldly ornamental effect that undeniably earned the unanimous vote of the panel. Not to be overlooked, the jury also recognized the remarkable talent of two other artists with special mentions: Dominique Zinkpè and their meticulously crafted wall sculpture, “The Watchers,” as well as Moe Watanabe and their walnut bark box titled “Transfer Surface.”
