Fendi Casa has opened its first flagship store in Milan, making a significant statement about the Italian luxury fashion house’s entry into the design world.
The project began last year as a joint venture between Design Holding and the Rome-based luxury house. The world will know that Fendi is ready to bridge its “iconic Fendi codes and DNA” with its design venture with the opening of its sprawling flagship in Milan’s landmark building in Piazza della Scala.
Fendi chose Milan as the location for their first flagship store because of the city’s international reputation as a crossroads for high fashion and design.
Serge Brunschiwg, the CEO of Fendi, appears to be planning for the year ahead, saying, “The interior design project fuses the iconic Fendi codes and DNA within an elegant monumental space. We are enthusiastic about the great synergies created with Design Holding and these first months of 2022, we look forward to our future openings in Miami and Shanghai in the near future.”
Alberto Da Passano, CEO of FF Design, revealed that a plan is currently in place to open an additional 40 Fendi Casa stores in the next three years, with the opening of the flagship clearly marking the major milestone.
The brand’s first priority locations are upscale locations in New York and Dubai. The flagship was designed by the team internally and spans two floors, presenting the Fendi vision of living, dining, sleeping, and outdoor areas. The store will feature Fendi’s artistic directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi, as well as their collaboration with Peter Mabeo.
