Tom Wood has just thrown open the doors to its newly refurbished flagship store in Oslo, Norway. Collaborating with the design expertise of Stockholm-based agency Specific Generic, this long-awaited retail space is a masterclass in minimalist design with a sustainable twist.
But hold your horses, this isn’t just a store. As Morten Isachsen, CEO of Tom Wood, puts it, “It’s a celebration of our brand’s journey, our commitment to artistic innovation, and our dedication to offering jewelry that becomes a part of people’s stories.”
Tom Wood first joined forces with Specific Generic to design its Oslo flagship back in 2020. The result? A harmonious blend of creative minds, perfectly aligned to showcase Tom Wood’s timeless yet avant-garde creations.
Sustainability takes center stage here. Recycled materials, like aluminum and steel, play leading roles in the construction, reflecting Tom Wood’s respect for the environment.
Inside, a “flexible wall” steals the show, equipped with portable cabinets, mirrors, and screens, giving the store the freedom to reinvent its displays. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: a hand-carved wooden bench by Swedish furniture artist Niklas Runesson.
