Jordan Brand and Washington Wizards Small Forward Rui Hachimura collaborated on the “Black Samurai” collection to coincide with the release of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 36 “Global Game.”
The special range builds on Rui Hachimura’s aesthetic sensibility with a sense of traditional flair, inspired by his Japanese roots.
The collection, which includes crewneck sweaters and T-shirts, is distinguished by a variety of graphics and details related to Rui and his passion for basketball.
His mother created the Kanji-inspired logo that appears throughout the collection, honoring the family name and Rui’s spirit on the court. Rui’s ties to Jordan Brand have been highlighted, ever since he became the first Japanese player to be selected in the first round of the NBA draft, and his intense play style.
