Tennis star Naomi Osaka has partnered with Levi’s to create a fun denim collection for Spring/Summer 2022, following her partnership with LeBron James and Maverick Carter‘s The SpringHill Company to launch an entertainment production company last month.
The four-time Grand Slam champion’s original sketches serve as the inspiration for the collection, which pays homage to Osaka’s on- and off-court mindsets with distinctive iconography and expressive cuts.
The collection includes items like a ’93 Noami Jean with a laser-printed flower bear that is reminiscent of the brand’s classic men’s 501 silhouette and a puffed-up Zip Bomber Jacket with contrasting denim pieces. The lineup also features an edgy Mermaid Skirt with a high-low hem, a sleek Denim Halter Top, and an oversized Artist Coat with roomy patch pockets and wide sleeves.
“I wanted to keep this collection fun and playful, and also include some pieces for everyone,” Osaka said in a statement. “I was trying to bring some light-heartedness with this collection as a reminder for us all to enjoy the life we’re living and not take things too seriously. Best of all, these pieces all make me feel super confident and comfortable because they’re all so flattering and fun to wear.”
The entire Levi’s x Naomi Osaka collaboration is made with organically grown cotton.
