Nixon and The Rolling Stones have collaborated to create a limited-edition capsule of watches, watch straps, and other accessories to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the legendary band.

The limited edition collection comprises a wide range of Nixon fan favorites, such as a Japanese Automatic movement, a one-of-a-kind chronograph, and an upcycled digital, all of which incorporate The Rolling Stones’ distinctive “Licks” insignia. The pieces are classic and will stand the test of time, much like the legendary Rolling Stones band.

Nixon refurbished the famed Nude Bowl in the desert in Palm Springs, east of Los Angeles, to announce his cooperation with The Rolling Stones. After temporarily painting the bowl with the historic band’s emblem, young skaters including Zach Miller, Phoenix Sinno, Ryan Carrell, Dane Barry, and Mikey “Mooks” Jordan were asked to test the collaboration timepieces.

The restoration project was documented from beginning to end and after this remarkable session by the famous Grant Brittain. Following the shoot, the pool was repainted white, creating a blank canvas for all the artists, taggers, and courageous souls that make their way out to the rehabilitated piece of skateboard history.

The Rolling Stones Primary model, reference A1352, is included in the collection; only 250 special edition pieces were created, with the first four numbered clocks going straight to the band and family. The clock is sleek and bright, with a braided dial displaying the band’s tongue and “Licks” insignia and Japanese Automatic movement. The model’s appearance is elevated by gold hands and a blue date window. Finally, an exquisite stainless steel band secures the face and body.

The Rolling Stones 51-30 watch, which boasts a neon sign font, vintage “Licks” emblem, and rock ‘n’ roll subdial that pays homage to the band’s early London club gigs, is also available. The enormous shape draws attention, while the durable construction allows for tough, everyday use.

Nixon’s analog Time Teller is a brand classic, and it received two separate makeovers as part of this partnership with The Rolling Stones. While the all-gold version bears the band’s “Licks” emblem, the all-red variant bears a unique spikey variation derived from T-shirts worn during the Voodoo Lounge tour.

The capsule’s last watch, The Rolling Stones Staple, has a digital offering fashioned of Nixon’s Other People’s Plastic material, an upcycled construction made from plastic bottles retrieved from our world’s oceans. The performance-driven band secures the razor-thin watch, which incorporates a configurable display and other functionalities such as a digital coinflip.

The collection also includes replacement bands that Rolling Stones fans can use to personalize their Nixon clocks or other watches. There are two Rolling Stones 20mm Recycled NATO Bands available, both with the band’s signature or the Tattoo You album artwork. Fans of Voodoo Lounge are likely to gravitate for the 23 FKM Rubber Band, which has quick-release spring bars for convenient changing and an eye-catching pattern inspired by the album artwork.

The collaborative collection will be released in two installments, the first on August 30, 2022 and the second later that year. Nixon’s website and select Nixon shops will have prices ranging from $40 USD to $1600 USD. The collection will also be available in London at No9 Carnaby Street on Tuesday, August 30, with a special in-store exhibition and custom video wall.
