Celebrating Bulgari’s 140th Anniversary with Limited Edition Octo Finissimo Watches

In a tribute to craftsmanship and innovation, Bulgari unveils a trio of limited editions to join its esteemed Octo Finissimo watch series. What distinguishes these newcomers? It’s all in the dial. Adorned with technical illustrations of the intricate movement within, they offer a mesmerizing trompe l’oeil effect.

Drawing inspiration from the technical sketches of the Renaissance era, Bulgari elevates the schizzi tradition, infusing it with modern flair while honoring its Italian heritage. Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Bulgari’s product creation executive director, lends his vivacious style to the dials, capturing the essence with natural and spontaneous strokes.

Among the limited editions are two automatic models, christened the Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch. Available in rose gold, limited to 70 pieces, and steel, produced in 280 examples, these timepieces house the in-house BVL 138 caliber with a 60-hour power reserve within their 40mm-wide cases. The rose gold variant commands a price of €51,000 EUR (approximately $55,812 USD), while the steel version comes in at €17,800 EUR (around $19,479 USD).

As for the third model, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT BVL 318 Sketch, Bulgari tantalizes with a technical drawing, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. Encased in steel and powered by the ultra-slim BCl 318 Manufacture movement, this model will feature an annotated illustration of the movement alongside three subdials. Priced at €20,800 EUR (roughly $22,763 USD), this watch will be released in a limited run of 140 individually numbered pieces.
