Off-White™ Channels 1980s Skater Style with Pro Boarder Sal Barbier

Prior to his death, Off-White™ founder Virgil Abloh sought the sartorial advice of renowned pro skater Sal Barbier in order to create a pipe-ready capsule collection for today’s emerging multi-hyphenates.

The two creatives collaborated with the goal of “take the best of the 1980s skate scene, improve it and make it relevant in the now.” The result is a collection of young attire that combines Barbier’s individual designs with characteristic Off-White™ symbols, which is now available.

The label’s famous arrow pattern appears entwined with a mean-looking rattlesnake picture throughout the line, according to Barbier. The slithering sign is a highlight, taking over the back of dark blue hoodies, sweaters, and T-shirts, as well as a light-wash denim jacket.

Meanwhile, jagged-yet-striking chromatic stripes adorn the arms and legs of both top and bottom forms, adding an unexpected pop of color to each. The collection also includes a dark blue baseball cap with the aforementioned snake-covered emblem.

Other items in the collection include a pair of black and white sneakers that are embossed with the label’s distinctive pull tag and arrow pattern but are made unique by Barbier’s snake-inspired logo work. The silhouette’s exterior layer is made of leather and PVC, similar to other Off-WhiteTM footwear options, and its sole is made of rubber.

Off-White™ c/o Sal Barbier is now available for purchase on the brand’s website, with prices ranging from $335 to $940 USD. Check out the selection in the gallery above.
