Palace Reinvents Calvin Klein Staples for the “CK1 Palace” Collaboration.

Palace has officially unveiled its “CK1 Palace” collaboration with Calvin Klein, after teasing the collaboration on Instagram. Palace’s playful aesthetic is mixed with signature Calvin Klein pieces like denim, tees, and fleece, as well as men’s and women’s underwear, which is a first for Palace.

The capsule features Calvin Klein’s classic color palette, with a focus on black, grey, and white, as well as the words “Wheat” and “Quarry.” The two brands have also collaborated on a custom logo that combines Calvin Klein’s branding with Palace’s tri-ferg. Basketball jerseys, baggy shorts, and denim with a faded wash and modern details all feature these designs. Palace has also teamed up with Vans for a limited run of “CALVANS,” which feature a custom logo across the Classic Slip-On.

Aside from the clothing, the collection includes a new version of the CK ONE fragrance, which is the first time it has been reimagined by a collaborator. New notes of “Frosted Mandarin,” “Violet Leaf,” and “Oakmoss” have been added to the scent for this release.

Calvin Klein and Palace enlisted Alasdair McLellan to shoot a campaign inspired by the labels’ respective home cities of New York and London to commemorate the collaboration. The campaign, which celebrates the two cities, features a cast that includes Palace team skaters Lucien Clarke and Charlie Birch, as well as Hollywood royalty Willem Dafoe and Dame Joan Collins. The Pet Shop Boys, Adwoa Aboah, Lola Leon, Precious Lee, and Unknown T are among the other artists featured in the campaign.

Lev Tanju, the founder of Palace, said at the launch of the collection:

“I feel so lucky to launch our first ever fragrance with Calvin Klein. CK ONE disrupted the Status Quo and to be able to make a new version of it in a Palace way has been a dream.

I grew up admiring the iconic Calvin Klein campaigns of the early ’90s for their simplicity and their forward-thinking depiction of fashion that appealed to everyone. It was so visually impactful: the casting, the energy, it really remains unmatched. From the first call with the Calvin team, I knew there was so much we could do. This collaboration has grown organically and I’m proud of everything we’ve created together.”

The Palace x Calvin Klein collection will be available on April 8 through Palace’s website, as well as in-store locations in London, New York, and Los Angeles, as well as the Calvin Klein website.
