Surf’s Up! Palace Is Back

Palace, which debuted its latest adidas collection earlier this month, has now debuted a collaboration with Los Angeles-based Jimmy’z.

Founded by surfer and painter Jim Ganzer in 1984, Jimmy’z became the surfer’s mecca during the late eighties thanks to its idyllic Malibu Beach setting, and was often clad with famous musicians, artists and skaters alike.

The collection builds on this heritage, with a new take on the classic velcro closure shorts. Other items include short sleeve shirts with an all-over eye print, a cotton bomber jacket, and three T-shirt styles. The capsule comes in a summer-ready color palette of mint, white, and pastel pink.

After a brief hiatus in the late 1990s, Jimmy’z the brand relaunched in late 2011 and is still producing pieces for its mainline collection. The collaboration launches on June 3 via Palace’s website and locations in London, New York and L.A. It also releases in Japan and via WeChat on June 4.
