Slam Jam, an Italian streetwear retailer, and Fila, an activewear giant, have collaborated for the first time for a capsule collection called Redefined.
The group is a part of Slam Jam’s (Un)corporate Uniforms project, which is also its private label – a “global expression–and ongoing research project–with the aim to understand and help define the concept of uniform.”
For Slam Jam x Fila’s Redefined, the duo dug into the archives of the Italian sports brand, reintroducing some iconic garments with modern, technical updates. The track-and-field-inspired collection is made up of seven pieces that tout functionality and practicality for everyday wear.
There are two light outerwear options: a frost grey windbreaker and a lightweight nylon track jacket. A pinstriped running top, shorts, and a running hat complete the look. Polo shirts, a padded nylon gym bag, and a corded sacoche are among the casual options. The Redefined capsule is distinguished by co-branded patches featuring Slam Jam’s logo and Fila’s classic insignia in colors ranging from grey, white, and red.
Slam Jam x Fila Redefined will be available exclusively on Slam Jam’s website, Slam Jam store locations, and participating retailers on May 21. To commemorate the launch, there will be a party with Evian Christ in Milan on May 19th.
