For Summer ‘19 Stüssy went hard with sun bleached fabrics, vibrant hues, and varieties of stripes that resemble heatwaves, the ocean’s waves, and everything in between.
Even one of Stüssy’s most iconic staples, the checker print, has been employed in new ways, as both a contrast collar on a more formal polo as well as for the background of a technicolor floral arrangement in one of the season’s most memorable patterns, while breaking from tradition with a growing influence of California outdoor wear, including whimsical takes on climbing gear, with the Leary Mountain Short being a particular highlight of the new direction.
While this is one of the more colorful ranges recently, there are understated elements at work too. Among the leopard print and electric yellow you’ll also find timeless garage jackets that sit effortlessly with their more vibrant counterparts.
