Tom Hardy is officially returning for the Venom sequel. Producer Amy Pascal told Fandango, “When you think of Venom, you’ll never be able to think of anyone but Tom Hardy sitting in that bathtub of lobsters. And once you saw Tom Hardy do this character, that’s all you needed to know.”
Hardy has already signed on for two more Venom films. Back in August last year, he told Total Film Magazine, “We’ve signed up for three [Venom films], so it’s very much an open case.”
Reassuring fans that Hardy will be coming back, Pascal also shared some light on whether Tom Holland’s Spider-Man version will appear in a venom movie, she said — “We have big plans for Tom Holland to be a part of everything.”
With Kelly Marcel penning the script, Michelle Williams is expected to return, and Woody Harrelson is slated to play Carnage in the sequel, ‘Venom 2’ is set to arrive sometime in 2020.
