1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV Hits Auction

Another white 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV has turned up at auction, whereas the Lamborghini Countach used in The Wolf of Wall Street was intentionally crashed on the set and has not been seen since. The Countach was created by Marcello Gandini and debuted as a prototype back in 1971. It has scissor doors and an angular wedge-shaped exterior.

The Countach in focus is one of 658 models created between 1988 and 1990 in honor of Lamborghini‘s 25th anniversary. The 5000 QV model debuted in 1985 with Kevlar front and rear deck lids. Distinct features include a V-shaped rear wing, US-market lighting, European-style front bumper, 15″ OZ Racing wheels, and Pirelli P Zero tires.

The 5.2-liter V12 engine, which has a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system and less than 7,300 miles on the odometer, is capable of 414 horsepower. A dark brown dash pad, an Alpine cassette stereo, a digital Veglia clock, and a gated shifter are additional extras.

The Countach, offered via dealer consignment and bearing a Florida title, recently fell short of its reserve price, with the highest bid coming in at $560,000 USD. In the near future, expect to see the car appear once more.
