A Ma Maniére has announced its next collaboration with Jordan Brand. The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2 “Airness” — which is a follow-up to the imprint’s Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 collaborations — has been circulating online for months, but we now have a closer look at the opulent snkrs.
A captivating short film titled “Your Airness,” narrated by spoken word artist Kyla Lacey, is released to coincide with the announcement. Her powerful poem encourages everyone to not only recognize but embrace their “Airness,” especially during times of adversity, and this serves as the team’s ethos.
AMM decides to take a more elevated approach with its AJ 2 installment, similar to the aforementioned collabs. The majority of the upper is grayed out and formed with cracked leather, with stark black laces, tongue logos, and a quilted interior lining to contrast.
The heel pieces are designed with burgundy molds and “Maniére” box logos. The midsoles, which are covered in blacked-out snakeskin patterns, complete the look.
On May 13, the sneakers will be available exclusively through A Ma Maniére website.
