adidas Honors the Homer Simpson Bush Meme with a Limited Edition Stan Smith

In recent years, the three stripes brand has offered a fun collection of Simpsons-themed footwear. A Superstar dedicated to the family’s second cat, Snowball II, a Ned Flanders-inspired take on the McCarten, and other wild creations Marge Simpson and her iconic blue hair covering the adidas Superstar were revealed as the duo’s next wacky creation last week.

This prompted adidas to pair it with a Homer Simpson entering the bushes meme-themed colorway, which quickly went viral. The Three Stripes, however, appear to have been one step ahead of us, as a design of this on the Stan Smith has surfaced.

The Stan Smith arrives in a traditional white, off-white, and green color scheme with scattered references to the hit franchise, and its presentation is simple yet amusing.

The white leather upper is accented with gold “Homer Simpson” text on the lateral, a portrait of Homer on the tongue, a custom The Simpsons-themed sockliner, and a fuzzy heel tab with Homer Simpson partially obscured by a bush, referencing the timeless reaction GIF and meme format of him slowly backing into the bushes.
