Andrew Chiou, a custom sneaker designer, has added another creation centered on Vegeta to his ongoing Dragon Ball Z-inspired concept series. Once again focusing on the popular Nike Dunk Low, the sneaker has been reimagined to capture the aesthetic of the fallen Saiyan race’s prince.
Following the events of the “Majin Buu Saga,” the character evolved into an anti-heroic tritagonist and became a secondary protagonist after debuting as the main antagonist of the “Vegeta Saga.”
Andrew Chiou’s Nike Dunk Low Vegeta concept features a faded blue base detailed with white tones to match the villain-turned-Z Fighter’s initial animated appearance. Panels and Swooshes replicate the design of traditional Saiyan armor, which includes a torso plate, jumpsuit, white gloves, and boots.
Aside from the standard tongue tags, “NIKE” embroidery at the back, and printed insoles, the midfoot Swooshes are adorned with line details drawn from the Saiyan armor’s torso plate. Black sockliners, light brown laces, weathered off white tone midsoles, and contrasting dark blue rubber outsoles round out the shoe’s design.
