If there ever was a shoe that embodied the essence of techno-futurism, it would be the ASICS x Brain Dead GEL-Nimbus 9. The collaborative sneaker from the boundary-pushing fashion label, Brain Dead, presents a flashy runner that is sure to make a statement with every wear.
The upper of the sneaker is dressed down in a medley of punchy pinks and maroon, complemented by fluorescent orange on the heel counter and toe-box. The red-dominant pastiche is balanced out by hits of mint and olive on the midsole and outsole. The shoe is further highlighted by the Brain Dead and ASICS co-branding on the rubber tongue label and heel, as well as obsidian rope laces.
Recently, Brain Dead has appeared in a number of collaborations, from Florence Tétier to Cecilie Bahnsen. However, their iteration of the GEL-Nimbus 9 stands out amongst the pack for its uncompromising approach to color.
