The latest tourbillon from Richard Mille was created to withstand the high G forces generated by golfer Bubba Watson‘s tee shots.
The new Tourbillon RM 38-02 Bubba Watson is the fourth watch produced during Watson’s ten-year partnership with the brand and the third tourbillon calibre. It is designed to withstand 10,000G, compared to the 50,000G experienced by a golf ball in modern golf.
“I have been pushing Richard for a pink watch for ten years and here it is,” says Watson.
Watson, who is known for playing with a pink Ping driver, will appreciate the striking pink and white Quartz TPT case and handpainted pink grade 5 titanium bridges.
The watch is built on a Carbon TPT baseplate and has an asymmetric case to keep the crown from colliding with Watson’s wrist while he is playing.
The Tourbillon RM 38-02 Bubba Watson is available now for CHF 900,000 (approximately $907,750 USD).
