Ceeze Repurposes Nike Sneakers to Create a Limited-Edition “Victory Chair”

Ceeze, a New York-based creative studio, is known for creating bespoke shoes and accessories, ranging from custom Nike SB Dunk Lows to a limited-edition burgundy Air Jordan 5.

However, they discovered while working on these projects that making small but precise pieces can result in a lot of waste. In order to come up with a creative solution to the surplus of off-cuts, the team came up with the concept for the “Victory Chair.”

The Victory Chair has a Baltic Birch frame and cushions made from reclaimed Air Jordan uppers that have been painstakingly crafted. Nike’s branding appears on the legs, which are shaped into a swoosh.

Each scrap sneaker was dissected before being applied to Napa leather backing and upholstered to the inner cushion to make the cushions. Each chair takes up to 75 hours to handcraft and includes over 35 pairs of shoes.

The Victory Chair will launch on May 31 on the Ceeze website. It will be available in a limited edition of 10 and is priced at $6,500 USD.
