Clarks Originals, a British footwear label, has released a new iteration of the shoe in a “Off White Camo” colorway. When first seen, the Trek Taiyo resembles Nike‘s Sock Dart due to the thick strap that is perched on top of the upper.
When first seen, the Trek Taiyo resembles Nike’s Sock Dart due to the thick strap that is perched on top of the upper. Although this most recent shoe features a natural crepe sole to create a clean silhouette with comfortability at the forefront of the design, it draws inspiration from Clarks’ original Desert Trek Chukka boot. While the riptape strap is used to adjust tightness across the top of the foot, the rest of the Trek Taiyo is constructed in a camouflage print of “Off White” suede.
A textile lining that runs through the paneling details that cover the lateral mid-panel, heel, and toe cap sections and extends above the sole completes the design. To facilitate slip-on access, a soft midsole and a cream hoop are also used.
The Clarks Originals Trek Taiyo “Off White Camo” is now available for £130 (approximately $160 USD) on the Clarks website.
