The marketplace, which has 26M registered users worldwide, has set out to bring this community from the digital fashion universe to Los Angeles, New York, and London with the launch of its newest initiative, Depop Collaborators.

In order to start important discussions about circular fashion, the project will bring together five creatives and collectives from the fashion, music, and art industries. Each collaborator’s distinctively distinct and inspirational message will be echoed by collaborative workshops, intricate installations, and interactive pop-ups in addition to selling unique items within each of their Depop shops.

Depop Collaborators, like the platform as a whole, is motivated by social interaction and discovery by emphasizing how to learn from our peers and local communities about how to improve the future of fashion.

To spread the conversation across the globe, Depop has partnered with platform users, fashion designers Makayla, Paris, Ed & Benny, Stitch, and underground music collective Keep Hush to launch the Collaborator Network.

These multifaceted artists will use Depop funding to create their own distinctive, one-of-a-kind activations. With this activation, they are now able to share their passions with a wider audience. Each has been able to connect with others through their love of fashion, music, and the arts.

The engaging pop-ups, immersive workshops, and other activities will be open to the public and will begin in mid-August in Los Angeles and conclude in early November in London. “At Depop, we are building the world’s most diverse, progressive home of fashion,” says Depop’s Global Brand Marketing Lead, Jumoke Adekunle. “We are a place where people come to get inspired, connect with likeminded people, and find a community. We’ve given these creatives a platform to showcase and champion their perspectives on circular fashion in a way that aligns with their identities and is meaningful to their followers.”
