Michael Jordan‘s name and presence are still very much felt throughout the game and culture even though it has been years since he last appeared on an NBA court, let alone won his last championship. He still reigns supreme as the GOAT of this generation, revolutionizing sportswear, sneakers, and more.
All six of Michael Jordan’s championship-winning sneakers have been acquired by Certified Sports Guaranty in tribute to his legacy, and they will be displayed for the first time ever as part of its “Dynasty Collection” memorabilia series. Jordan wore each of the shoes, according to CSG, in the championship games of his NBA titles in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998.
Each of his shoes has a famous and clear association with Jordan. The Nike Air Jordan 6 that the GOAT wore for his first championship was based on his Porsche 911. He wore the first pair of Air Jordan 7 without the Nike logo in 1992 and the Air Jordan 8 with the “x-strap” in 1993. For his sixth and final championship, Jordan wore an early prototype of the Air Jordan 14 known as the “Last Shot,” which mirrored the lines of his Ferrari 550 Maranello. In 1996, Jordan wore the “Bred” with a translucent sole.
