Technical materials are cut to size and combined with mesh and TPU paneling to create a playful round, bulbous, comfortable sneaker with futuristic design elements. The shoe’s construction also includes PU microfiber and EVA foam, resulting in a sneaker that pays homage to both retro runners and something out of this world.

The toe of Lanvin’s Flash-X comes to a point, but there is an asymmetrical piece of tire-like rubber working the toe, as well as an off-set toe box in mesh. Colors like “Ecru/Golden” make the Flash-X look even more daring, while black graphics give it a wild feeling.

The shape appears softer in “Bianca” and “Lanvin Blue,” which is somewhere between sky blue and eggshell. The “Nero” is a more tactile look, as the blacked-out design — complete with webbing tabs, tonal branding, and Mère et Enfant logos — is more menacing.

All four colorways now from Lanvin’s website and boutiques for $1,150 USD a pair.
