Nanamica, and Awake NY, have announced their first-ever cooperation, creating a lightweight and functional 14-piece collection for urban situations.
The collection’s highlights include plaid and black contrast-stitched dock jackets, relaxed cargo pants, and bucket hats made from fast-drying and stretchy ALPHADRY® materials.
Hoodies and sweatpants lined in 13.5 oz cotton polyester, oxford wind shirts lined in CORDURA® nylon, and purple, black, and white graphic tees with collaborative crown logos round out the layering possibilities.
Ripstop nylon utility shoulder bags with paneled side pockets round off the collection.“The pieces truly are a marriage of Japan and New York City.
Working with Nanamica’s beloved silhouettes, we incorporated our design language and added patterns, specifically the plaid,” says Angelo Baque, Founder and Creative Director of Awake NY.
“These pieces can easily be worn on the streets of Tokyo or on Museum Mile here in New York – they’re versatile and functional, essential qualities for any city inhabitant.”
Beginning September 15, the collection will be available on the nanamica website, in directly operated stores, and at select retailers. On the day of the store’s debut, Nanamica and Awake will have a launch party at the Nanamica Soho location.
