The Tokyo-based label Nanamica has teamed with PUMA to reimagine the sportswear brand’s famous PUMA Suede VTG silhouette.
The partnership washes PUMA’s classic shoe in cool monochromatic colors of “Parisian Night” and “Vintage Khaki.” reflecting its sophisticated, yet elegant outdoor-focused design. Furthermore, the collaboration highlights Nanamica’s significant use of GORE-TEX fabric with the silhouette’s lining. Matching flat laces and waterproof features round off the look.
“For our first collaboration with Nanamica we wanted to create something that would be instantly recognizable as a partnership between both brands,” said Ayesha Atlee, Head of Design Sportstyle Footwear for PUMA. “We decided to leverage the PUMA Suede because of its timeless design, mixing it with Nanamica’s neutral swatches and their signature use of GORE-TEX fabric was a must to accomplish our vision.”
The item, which marks the companies’ first collaboration, mixes classic and contemporary style characteristics, making it ideal for not only the Fall/Winter season, but year-round wear.
