Every year, New Balance teams up with a select few retailers for special collaborative projects, and one of them is sneaker retailer DTLR. The two brands have previously collaborated on silhouettes such as the 992, 2002R, and 997, and now they have teamed up to create the 990v3.
The “Miami Drive” colorway has been officially named by DTLR, and the vivid details will show you why. The majority of the shoes have the same gray mesh underlays and forefoot overlays as the original, but it is the accents that do the majority of the work here.
The traditional 990v3 branding is splashed with pink on the heel panels, which sit next to orange collars. Teal accents the N logos, spills over the tongue branding, and is used to touch up various overlays to further express the vibrant energy of South Beach.
This Summer-ready pair will hit DTLR on May 27.
