The past few years have seen New Balance at the top of its game. The American sportswear company continues its winning streak with a women’s colorway of the well-liked 550 model in addition to tasteful collaborations and in-house designs.
The New Balance 550 debuts in “White Scarlet,” beginning with a base of perforated white leather. The “NB” logo is embroidered in white on top of the heel counter before soft pink suede and leather are used to cover the heel.
The rubber outsole’s toe and heel are covered in this dusty pink, and the suede toe overlay and 550 branding are accented in salmon pink. The classic “N” logo is then outlined in white, covered by scarlet, which then lands on some of the branding before moving to the heel. This completes the color arrangement. The colorway’s distinctive hearts at the heel and sockliner also feature this shade, completing a look that would be appropriate for Valentine’s Day.
A global release of the New Balance 550 Women’s “White Scarlet” is anticipated to happen soon via New Balance and a few select retailers at a cost of $120 USD. Pairs of the shoe have already begun to appear in Europe.
