New Balance’s Latest 1906R Arrives in Desert Tan Cordura Fabric

New Balance has recently commissioned Japan’s atmos for its own iteration of the 1906R, followed by Taiwanese store INVINCIBLE’s three-way collaboration with N.HOOLYWOOD. Now, the footwear brand returns to its in-house label for a modern take on a classic style.

The team introduce the newest edition to the 1906R index in collaboration with Cordura, a fabric producer focusing on durability and better performance through resistant construction. A tan Cordura fabric base layer sits beneath linear leather overlays that wrap across the upper for the next release.

Tonal heel guards provide movement protection, while medial “N” emblems with grey perimeters provide style. Model-specific branding appears on the heel counters alongside black Cordura banners, providing a bit of contrast. New Balance branding is debossed on the leather tongue tags, and the NERGY midsoles and gum outsoles round off the design.

The pair is yet to be released, but expect them to be available later this year through New Balance and select stores for $150 USD.
