Following its re-release in 2020, the original Nike Air More Uptempo “OG” from 1996 is set to return in 2023. The shoe, which was notably worn by Chicago Bulls champion Scottie Pippen during the 1995-1996 season, is slated to hit retailers later this year.
The Nike Air More Uptempo “OG,” known as one of Nike‘s most classic basketball shoes, returns in its original black and white color scheme. The top is made of black nubuck, and the trademark huge “AIR” branding on the lateral foot is accented in white for further contrast.
The Swoosh logo is featured in white on the tongue, midsole, and insole, while a portion of the outsole’s bubble is visible. The shoe’s design is completed by a translucent big Swoosh on the heel.
The Nike Air More Uptempo “OG” will be available in select retailers and at Nike for $160 USD in the coming months.
