Nike’s Latest Air Force 1 Low Arrives With Cloudy Uppers

Nike is making time to release as many Air Force 1 colorways as it can to celebrate the iconic model’s 40th anniversary before 2022 closes its doors next month.

There have been a plethora of inline iterations and collaborative releases in recent years, and the latter group is about to grow by one with the introduction of the Air Force 1 Low “Clouds.” The playful makeup may not have an official name, but its visual presentation echoes the style of the atmospheric component.

The Swoosh design teams depart from the silhouette’s traditional smooth leather construction and instead introduce a full suede base layer that is made with a shaggy texture. Sky blue and white patterns are dusted on the perforated toe boxes, quarter panels, collars, and heel overlays.

They resemble the Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Clouds” from 2015 in terms of style, but with a less pronounced all-over pattern. A close neighboring note is gray suede, which appears on the side Swooshes, the heel, the tongue, and the heel branding.

Completing it all with a treading and midsole pieces offering contrast. Although Nike hasn’t confirmed a release date just yet, expect to find these in many stockists in the coming months.
