To celebrate the extension of the brand’s partnership with the Team Luna Rossa sailing team, Panerai unveiled a fresh look for its Luminor Luna Rossa timepiece.
Since 2017, Panerai has collaborated with Team Luna Rossa, which took home the 2017 Prada Cup as part of the previous America’s Cup. Team Luna Rossa and Panerai have produced a 1,500-piece limited edition 44mm Luminor Luna Rossa in polished stainless steel to contrast with a steel crown protection device in time for the start of the 2024 America’s Cup, which will be held in Barcelona.
The matte white dial of the Luminor has Luna Rossa text at 6 o’clock, cool grey Super-LumiNova at 9 o’clock, and a red small seconds hand at 9 o’clock. A P.6000 hand-wound, hacking seconds movement with a three-day power reserve drives the 100m water-resistant watch.
The Luminor Luna Rossa is currently offered by Panerai for a price of £5,100 GBP (roughly $6,155 USD), and it comes with both a grey material Luna Rossa and a black rubber strap.
