The Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition is Panerai and Razer‘s first watch partnership.
With a black DLC-coated eSteel casing and ‘electric green’ highlights on the little seconds at nine of the clock and contrast stitching on its black recycled PET fabric strap, the 40mm watch adds Razer’s recognizable personality to Panerai’s renowned Luminor watch.
The caseback and crown cover are also engraved with Razer’s triple-headed snake logo and moniker. Panerai has produced a sandwich dial with grey Super-LumiNova lighting green to further symbolize the Razer look.
Inside is a P.900 caliber automatic movement with a three-day power reserve that displays the date at three of the clock on the dial.
When the watchmaker and gaming peripheral manufacturer announced their collaboration in June, they also revealed support for a Conservation International effort to identify and track Manta Rays.
This watch demonstrates the partnership’s commitment to sustainability by using recycled steel for the case and PET plastic for the strap. In addition, 72% of the packaging is made from recycled materials.
The Panerai Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition, which is limited to 500 pieces, is available now for £7,300 GBP (about $8,250 USD).
