Rick Owens DRKSHDW and Converse reunite for two new monochromatic takes on the DRKSHDW TURBOWPN silhouette, following the reintroduction of the collaborative low-top DRKSTARs.
The TURBOWPN is a reimagined version of the Converse Weapon, a legendary basketball shoe worn by legends like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird in the late 1980s. The TURBOWPN sneakers make their second appearance in “Clay” and “Egret” colorways, with distorted and exaggerated proportions such as an elongated tongue, puffed collars, and stretched platform soles.
The uppers are constructed entirely of premium leather, with DRKSHDW’s star sign etched on the laterals and Converse’s logo imprinted on the medials.
A clay-colored cap and a black/cream drawstring bag with central DRKSHDW logos are included as complementary accessories in addition to the footwear.
On May 3, the new Converse x DRKSHDW items will be available for $200 USD on the Converse and Rick Owens websites, physical stores, and select retailers worldwide.
