There are a lot of brands in the streetwear industry today, but few have as much history as Stüssy, especially when it comes to footwear collaborations. The streetwear stalwart has collaborated with Nike on a slew of projects, and this season, it’s about to add to that list with a brand new Air Force 1 Mid capsule.
Given that the Nike Sportswear icon will be 40 years old in 2022, the SoCal-based label was tapped to add its stamp to a variety of colorways of the silhouette. So far, we’ve seen an official look at the upcoming black and white colorway, as well as makeup that includes black uppers with snakeskin-covered Swooshes and a hemp-infused “Fossil” that looks similar to the brand’s low-slung collaboration from 2020.
Stüssy used Instagram to announce the collaboration, which will debut on May 13, 2022, with an image of the black and white duo turned upside down, emptying a mound of sand. Stüssy branding can be found on the heels, straps, and toe boxes of this pair.
More information on the exact colorways that will be dropping, as well as pricing, will be released in the coming days.
