Take a Look at the Air Jordan 2 Low “Look, up in the Air”

Looking ahead to 2023, Jordan Brand has stated that the Air Jordan 2 and its low-top sibling would continue to play an important position in its launch portfolio. The Air Jordan 2 Low joins the Air Jordan 1 High OG in reliving classic Nike ads, as one of many hues releasing next year to surface via early pairs.

In November, a first glimpse at a “Skyline” Air Jordan 1 was linked to a promotional image of Michael Jordan in his Jumpman position against a sunset over the Chicago skyline. This Air Jordan 2 Low now references the Air Jordan 2’s “Look, up in the Air” advertising campaign from 1987.

The sneaker’s white, gray, and yellow leather and suede upper appears simple at first glance. Closer scrutiny reveals that the sneaker’s purple to blue gradient at the upper’s linework, lavender tongue outline, and sky blue lining tell a different story. It’s evident where the sneaker’s influence originates from when you look at the sockliner.

A silhouette of Chicago’s skyline is combined with a purple and orange sunset, while the text “LOOK, UP IN THE AIR.” from the sneaker’s 1987 ad campaign is prominently shown in white.
