Vans has officially revealed its upcoming collaboration with streetwear label Brain Dead, which was teased earlier this week.
They have previously reworked models like the OG Old Skool LX, so they are no strangers. In their latest collaboration, the duo looks at the OG Half Cab LX, OG Lampin LX, OG Authentic LX, and OG Slip-On LX.
Two different approaches are used this time to outfit the classic Vans silhouettes. Vans’ signature checkered pattern is reworked on the OG Authentic LX and OG Slip-On LX, with Brain Dead’s head logo featured throughout.
Color blocking is used on the uppers of the remaining two models. A Brain Dead x Vans logo on the insole and tonal “BRAIN DEAD” text on some of the midsoles round out the collection’s details.
The Brain Dead x Vault by Vans collection will be released in two parts. Starting on June 10, the OG Half Cab LX and OG Lampin LX will be available at Brain Dead Studios Fairfax and Brain Dead Studios Harajuku, with an online drop on June 14 via Brain Dead’s website.
The OG Authentic LX and OG Slip-On LX will be available at Brain Dead, Vans, and select Vault by Vans retailers to round out the release.
