The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT Joins Nike’s “Somos Familia” Collection

While October welcomes in Halloween and its associated festivities, it also serves as a precursor to the Day of the Dead. The multi-day festival, which originated mostly in Mexico, draws communities together to remember those who have died.

Nike and the Jordan Brand crew are commemorating the occasion with a range of four themed sneakers this year. The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT joins the Air Force 1 Low, Dunk High, and Air Max 1 in receiving colorful, thematic makeovers from the Swoosh.

Looking specifically at Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT comes in a vivid hue with Day of the Dead motifs throughout. The upper is predominantly made of light brown cloth, with hints to the cempaschil flower, the traditional flower of the dead, at the midfoot panel and the Swooshes.

A multicolored lateral Wings logo joins a similar tongue, while the collection’s trademark monarch butterfly design falls at the heel and sockliner to complete the look, symbolizing how monarch butterflies are thought to hold the spirits of the gone.

The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Somos Familia” and its accompanying collection will be available on October 18 through Nike and select retailers. This pair is scheduled to be offered for a price of $150 USD.
