New Balance continues to shake up the footwear collaboration game this season, leaving their mark with notable partnerships like Bodega and BEAMS. And now, to add another layer of excitement, the Boston sportswear label unveils a fresh collaboration with the Danish brand GANNI.
This latest collaboration revolves around the iconic New Balance 1906, serving as a sequel to their successful 2002R release in 2022. Unlike their previous endeavor, this collaboration takes a more understated approach, showcasing a palette of neutral tones with hints of subtle boldness.
Crisp white mesh uppers and smooth leather overlays set the foundation, accentuated by sleek black trims, interior liners, and flecked laces. GANNI sprinkles branded touches on the throat and adds vibrant pops of yellow to the heel tabs, “N” logos, and throat. The midsoles feature a soft gray backdrop with stealthy accents, rounding off the shoe’s distinctive aesthetic.
