Vault by Vans, a premium sub-label under the Vans umbrella, thrives in the collaborations realm. Every year, it will participate in a significant number of joint ventures, with WTAPS being one of its most consistent partners.
After collaborating with the Anaheim skate imprint earlier in 2022, Tetsu Nishiyama‘s streetwear label is now embarking on its 15th collaboration with a VF Corporation entity.
The new collection is divided into two releases and includes a mix of sneakers, apparel, and accessories. WTAPS has put its stamp on seven models of footwear: the OG Chukka LX, the OG Era LX, the OG Half Cab LX, the Hi-Country & Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot, the Standard Snow MTE, and the Coast CC NS LX.
Each look features the streetwear label’s signature utilitarian sensibilities and a drab palette of tonal gray and black hues.
The lifestyle-focused styles (OG Chukka LX, OG Era LX, and OG Half Cab LX) will be available in the first release, while the snow-focused styles (Hi-Country & Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot, Standard Snow MTE, and Coast CC NS LX) will be available in the second.
Both parties have collaborated on collaborative clothing and accessories to go with the kicks. The WTAPS MTE Jacket is designed with fully taped DWR-coated seams, welted pockets, and bungee adjustments on the hood and visor, while the pants have elastic waistbands for an adjustable fit. The capsule also contains graphic tees, beanies, socks, and a helmet bag.
Drop one will be available on November 5th through WTAPS and select Vault by Vans retailers, with a follow-up release on November 29th through Vans. The second batch will be available on November 19 through WTAPS and select Vault by Vans retailers, while the Vans drop will take place on December 16.
